2017 - Year Of Consistency

December 8, 2016

Something in my spirit is telling me that 2017 is going to be the year of action, consistency and purpose. Every year, I start a new journey on the “path to greatness,” but by the end of the year, I'm wondering how did I fall so far off track? As the saying goes “The early bird gets the worm”, so I've decided to start my 2017 planning early! This way, I have no excuse.com.

There is only one goal that will be the determining factor in whether I succeed or fail: consistency!  Instead of just writing down my goals with no plan of action, I've listed out all the steps needed in order to accomplish them in 2017.

#1  Be consistent in my commitments. Whether that be work, starting my own organization, or my personal website.

#2 Brand Refresh. New year, New me boo!

#3 Make a List. Write down the top three goals I want to accomplish for each of my commitments.

#4 Prepare. Develop a daily routine and review its efficacy at the end of each week. How will my daily routine change in order to accomplish my goals? Preparation is key.

#5 Plan. Create a calendar with a projected timeline or date that you want to hit each goal.

#6 Action. Put that preparation and planning into action. Each day, write down how I've taken one step closer to meeting my goals.

#7 Accountability. Hold myself accountable to ensure that I am consistently working towards my goals. Peer accountability works too!

#8 Don't be too hard on yourself! Take it one step at a time. Success doesn't happen overnight. Great things require patience & time.

So, here's to the year of consistency! I will use this list as a guide throughout the year as I work to accomplish my goals for 2017. I pray everyone continues to strive for their goals and never get discouraged.

XOXO,

Kea
