Happy New Year!
It's time to start anew. To do better and be better. To enter the new year on the right foot.
But most importantly, to take care of yourself as your embark on 365 days of self-evolution.
In order to evolve, some things must be left behind or tabled in order to shift your focus and re-prioritize what's on your plate. For the past few years, I have given up alcohol for the first half of the year to help cleanse my mind, body and soul. It has provided me clarity and prevented me from any distractions that will deter me from evolving into the best version of myself.
At the end of my no alcohol cleanse, I lost 13lbs, skin was glowing, and my mind and spirit felt so much better. I was aware of myself, purpose and energy. I was 100% cleansed inside and out of any impurities that was causing toxicity in my life.
I was giving, "New Body, Who Dis?" vibes.
But, by second end of the year, I ended up gaining all that weight back from making up on all the alcohol I'd missed the first half of the year.
My body was pure trash!
By December, I was tired of looking at bags under my eyes and waking up with hangovers. I was tired of sitting at my desk, rubbing on my wine pouch. I realized, something has got to give!
On top of my unhappiness with how I treated my body, I now am facing a health scare at the beginning of 2017. The good news is that its not life threatening, but the bad news is that it could affect my future goals of wanting to have children if not taken care of now.
So you see, taking care of yourself is very vital to your own self-evolution.
As a result of my recent health scare, I want to encourage YOU to join me in my #2017selfcarechallenge.
How do you join the challenge?
Pick one thing that you will implement into your daily routine that practices self-care. It could be as simple as flossing everyday so that your gums and teeth are healthy to disconnecting from your phone for one hour a day to unwind and relax.
My challenge to you is to pick something that will positively enhance your daily routine.
Too often we prioritize any and everything but ourselves. This year, put YOU first! Start by prioritizing self-care in your daily routine. "Evolve or Dissolve". It's your choice.

I think the best motivation for this challenge is to think about the end goal. When its all said and done, you will feel accomplished. You will feel spiritually and mentally cleansed. Your skin will be glowing; and you'll probably be the most healthiest you've been in a long time.
